SARA TEASDALE

I found a poet named Sara Teasdale who is amazing! Here are some of her poems:

The Look

BY SARA TEASDALE

Strephon kissed me in the spring,
Robin in the fall,
But Colin only looked at me
And never kissed at all.

Strephon's kiss was lost in jest,
Robin's lost in play,
But the kiss in Colin's eyes
Haunts me night and day.

This poem shows a way that we all think sometimes. You have those people in your life, or maybe they have left your life by now, but you wish you could have had them. You want all of them, or maybe just a small part of them, but you cannot for some reason or another. I think this also speaks to the feeling you get sometimes that you are meant to be best friends forever with someone, the need to know everything about them and to have all of them.
